No matter how abstract the musical or lyrical concepts,

I keep my writing grounded in truth, emotion, positive
consciousness and integrity. I constantly write songs, it's in my
nature....

Blane began writing songs and poetry at age 13 when his mother was diagnosed
with terminal cancer.
From these intense early experiences he learned to imbue is artistic works with emotional
urgency and a level of depth rarely found in today's pop music.
Blane attended
School of Performing Arts (High School) in San Francisco where he studied dance.
He completed an independent music composition and performance major at the
University of California at Santa Cruz in 1994. Since 1989 he has been the primary
songwriter for 5 different northern california bands.
In 1996 Blane formed the funk
collective Family Soul. Having performed over 300 live concerts solo and with his
groups throughout the West Coast, Hawaii, and Europe. Blane is no stranger to
the live arena.
Blane Lyon was also a musical member of Foxgluv, The Venutians and the One World Orchestra.
After years of hard work, Blane finally sees the release of his debut solo album 'All People' which he has been working the crowd with throughout the summer at large outdoor events such as Reggae on the River, Earthdance and Burning Man Decompression.
Blane is a prolific songwriter and music producer. In 2003 he established B-Luv Recording studios in Fairfax California where he continues to write, record, and produce music for himself and other musical projects.
